Granted Serena won the singles title in Miami and the Bryan brothers won doubles, but this blog focuses on men's singles and we're sinking further into the abyss at that exercise. After Miami the rankings look like this:

That's everyone we have in the top 200. 14 guys, only 6 of which are in the top 100. Having Isner in the top 10 is a great thing, but some of these guys behind him have to start making noise. Real noise. Someone, anyone.
But there's more bad news. We've just gone through the American hard court swing of the early part of the year. Now we're headed to the clay court season, a period where we typically see Americans go dormant. So the rankings could easily get worse before the summer.
